Leadership
As an Evangelical Free Church, MCC functions as an autonomous body of believers under a congregational style of church governance (see article 10 of our Statement of Faith under "What we believe"). As such, final approval in matters such as electing leaders and calling pastors lies with the members.
As a bi-departmental church, we work cooperatively through an all-church joint board, which is made up of the pastors and deacons from each department. At the same time, each department operates autonomously through departmental Councils. The English Council currently consists of the pastor, three deacons, and one coordinator. And … we welcomed Barry and Jan Potter as our pastoral couple in February 2023.
